Stanley County Weed & Pest Board Meeting

November 29, 2012

 

 AJ Stoeser called the Stanley County Weed & Pest Board Meeting to order with members David Neuharth , Randy Yost, Lura Kirkpatrick and Pat Prince, Weed & Pest Supervisor present.  Mike Stenson and Ron Moehring, SD Dept of Agriculture, Thomas Lefaive with Paul Bachand representing Bad River Ranches, Sid Pond representing Regina Iversen, Jack Doolittle representing MidDakota Vegetation Mangagement, Larry Collins representing Game Fish and Parks and Tom P. Maher were also present.   Board member Dana Iversen was absent.  

 

Minutes:  Motion was made by David Neuharth and seconded by Randy Yost to approve the minutes from the last meeting.  Motion carried.

 

Old Business:  Paul Bachand talked on behalf of Turner Ranches and Sid Pond talked on behalf of Iversen Ranch and both parties had reached an agreement about the prairie dog problem. 

 

David Neuharth made a motion to rescind the enforcement on Turner Ranches based upon a letter from Regina Iversen to rescind her complaint against Turner Ranches.  And an abatement on the Declaration of Infestation & Notice of Declaration of Infestation of Prairie Dogs on NE ¼ , Section 20, Township 4, Range 29E RE Turner, seconded by Lura Kirkpatrick, motion carried.

 

New Business: 

Next meeting is scheduled for November 4, 2012 beginning at 1 p.m. Extension Office Conference Room.
