STANLEY COUNTY COMMISSION

APRIL 8, 2014

The special meeting of the Stanley County Commission was called to order at 4:34 p.m. (CDT) by Chairman Scott with Commissioners Dennis Booth, Scott Deal and Dana Iversen present.  Ronnie Heckenlaible was absent.  Auditor Karen Sharp, State’s Attorney Tom P. Maher, Director of Equalization Ron Nagle, Deputy Director of Equalization James Roberts, Dennis Hanson of Legend LLC, Ruth Hohrman, Harlan Hohrman, and Mark Mayer were also present.  The meeting commenced with the Pledge of Allegiance.

AGENDA:  Motion by Booth, second by Iversen, to approve the Agenda.  All Voted Aye.  Motion Carried.

Motion by Deal, second by Booth, to recess into Executive Session for Personnel, SDCL 1-25-2(1) at 4:35 p.m. (CDT).  All Voted Aye.  Motion Carried.  Motion to reconvene at 4:45 p.m. (CDT).  All Voted Aye.  Motion Carried.

Motion to recess for Board of Equalization at 4:59 p.m. (CDT).  All Voted Aye.  Motion Carried. Motion by Deal, second by Booth, to reconvene into regular session at 7:32 p.m. (CDT).  All Voted Aye.  Motion Carried.

ABATEMENTS:  Sass, Record 7438:  Motion by Booth, second Iversen, to abate entire tax bill for record #6437.  All Voted Aye.

Sanchez, Record #7530:  Motion by Iversen, second Deal, to abate to assessed value of $684,362.00.  All Voted Aye.  Motion Carried.

Motion by Deal, second by Booth, to grant one hour of Administrative Leave to Stanley County employees due to the storm on March 31, 2014.  All Voted Aye.  Motion Carried.

GRAVEL CRUSHING:  Motion by Iversen, second by Deal, to crush what is stripped at Buffalo Pit, and 30,000 ton at Gertonson Pit.  All Voted Aye.  Motion Carried.

Discussion with State’s Attorney as to the development of a Fairgrounds Board.

Motion by Deal, second by Booth, to recess into Executive Session for Personnel, SDCL 1-25-2(1), at 8:20 p.m. (CDT).  All Voted Aye.  Motion Carried.  Motion by Iversen, second by Booth, to reconvene at 8:35 p.m. a(CDT) All Voted Aye.  Motion Carried.

ADJOURN:  Motion by Scott, second by Iversen, to adjourn at 8:36 p.m. (CDT).  All Voted Aye.  Motion Carried.
