STANLEY COUNTY COMMISSION

MINUTES

March 24, 2016

 

The special meeting of the Stanley County Commission was called to order at 5:02 P.M.(CDT) by Chairman Dana Iversen with Commissioners Dennis Booth, Scott Deal, Craig Heller and Sonny Harrowa present. Also present were State’s Attorney Tom P. Maher, and Auditor Philena Edwards. The meeting commenced with the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

AGENDA: Motion by Sonny Harrowa, second by Craig Heller, to approve the Agenda.  All voted Aye. Motion Carried.

 

Highway Department: Lee Smith rented a screen for gravel. Will start screening gravel Monday. Will keep the wrecked Ford dump truck for parts for the other Ford dump truck that is still in use.

 

Executive Session – Personnel – SDCL 1-25-2(1): Motion by Scott Deal, second by Dennis Booth, to go into Executive Session – Personnel – SDCL 1-25-2(1) at 5:14 P.M. All voted Aye. Motion Carried.

 

Sonny Harrowa recused himself from Executive Session at 5:30 P.M.

 

Motion by Craig Heller, second by Scott Deal, to reconvene at 6:07 P.M. All voted Aye. Motion Carried.

 

Discussion: Craig Heller will contact the beach comber to find out availability to comb the arenas at the fairgrounds.

Need to get the water turned on for the camper pads and bathrooms and put 50 stalls up in the Schomer Barn. Also need to get a ‘Stanley County Fairgrounds’ sign made for the highway, and need one for rodeo contestants.

 

Adjournment: Motion by Craig Heller, second by Scott Deal, to adjourn at 6:20 P.M. All voted Aye. Motion Carried.
